Vietnamese expatriates in Belgium warmly welcome new spring
Among participants in the event, held by the Association of Vietnamese in Belgium and the Belgium-Vietnam Friendship Society, was Vietnamese Ambassador to Belgium Nguyen Manh Dung. The same day, the Nam Giao society of the Vietnamese community in Belgium organized an art programme to welcome the Year of the Tiger. In the spotlight was a 14-member troupe of singers and dancers sent by the HCM City Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to give free performances to the Vietnamese community. The festive atmosphere was enlivened by the participation of the Truong Son dance group, comprised of young people who are the second generation of Vietnamese expatriates in Belgium. In another event, Vietnamese students in Belgium raised 500 euros to help victims of agent orange/dioxin in the homeland.
